Zora Grove

Zora Grove, 97, of Jackson Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Inn at University Village following an extended illness. Zora was born on October 28, 1927 in Canton, Ohio the daughter of the late Milan and Amelia (Ranic) Kragalott.

Zora graduated from Timken Vocational High School and Canton Actual Business College. She retired from the Jackson Local School District. 

Zora was strong in her faith and proud of her Serbian heritage. She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Serbian Sisters, and St. George Church choir before her illness.

Zora was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved taking girls trips with her special friends. She spent many hours tending to her flowers, doing crossword puzzles, reading books, and visiting wineries with her husband and their friends. 

Her greatest passion was her grandchildren. She loved watching them play sports and attending their performances. She was a huge sports fan of the Jackson Polar Bears, Howland Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland sports teams. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Grove of 72 years; brother, Stephen Kragalott, Robert Kragalott, and Samuel Kragalott.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Karen) Grove, Daniel (Colleen) Grove, and Melissa (Patrick) Sirpilla; grandchildren, Erin, Kaylan, Michael, Meagan, Casey, Madison, and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Clarence, Taj, Penelope,Leo, Julian, Magdalena, Mason, Elliana, and William; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Special thanks goes out to the nurses and caregivers at the Inn at University Village for their compassion and friendship the past three years.

In keeping with Zora's wishes, services will be private. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens with her husband.
