Zelko ‘Zeke’ Slat

Zelko ‘Zeke’ Slat, age 59 passed away Sunday March 27, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center. Zeke was born April 19, 1951 in Croatia to the late Ivan & Dragica Slat and came to America in 1958. He was a 1970 graduate of Washington High School. Most of Zeke working career has been in law enforcement: auxiliary officer on the Massillon Police Dept. Brewster Police Department, Heinz Foods and the last 14 years with Affinity Medical Center. Zeke’s humor and wit will be long remembered by ALL. His personal joy was hunting deer and wild turkeys with his buddies. He was a follower of NASCAR and would go to Myrtle Beach at any opportunity. He is survived by his companion of five years, Elizabeth Morgan and her son Kyle Morgan; his dogs, Bubbee, Bruno, Brutus and Emmett; and many, many friends. A gathering of Zeke friends will be from 5-8 PM Thursday at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral, with a Remembrance Service at 5 PM.
