Yvonne Marie Myers

Yvonne Marie Myers, 93 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was born on December 10, 1924 in Canton, the daughter of Carroll and Ethel (Mallory) McAnany. Vonnie as all those closest to her called her, loved to garden because she loved the Earth and as one of Jehovah’s faithful Witnesses believed she will be resurrected as promised in the Bible at John 5:28 & 29, once again to this Earth rejoicing with all of her loved ones who also have fallen asleep in death. Vonnie also loved to laugh and especially enjoyed making others laugh. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing the piano. She was a true entertainer. As a young woman she sang many times publicly and was about to go on the road professionally until the man who became the love of her life, Richard Myers asked her to marry him. She had a big decision to make. They eloped on March 12, 1944 and spent 62 years together, bringing into the world 6 children. Yvonne was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the age of 37 and led a full and happy life serving Him. She had many friends she served with thru the years, all who loved her very much. We her physical family and those of her spiritual family will miss her deeply. We will miss her beauty, her smile, her fun loving spirit and her deep devotion to our Creator Jehovah God. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Myers; brother, John C. McAnany; and sister, Eileen M. Sepos. She is survived by her children, Sandra K. Baltzly, Katherine Burkhart, Patricia Lee (Dale) Lewis, Richard Scott Myers, Tallmadge B. (Tammy) Myers, and Mitchell Myers; grandchildren, Shawn (Alisa) Schleig, Heather (Kenneth) DiLorenso, Jack (Bonnie) Baltzly, Christopher Baltzly, Jeremy Baltzly, Darian (Madelyn) Lewis, Dorinda (Joseph) Weaver, Andrea (Robert) White, Aaron (Sarah) Lewis, and Mitchell Myers ; great grandchildren, Cody, Jake, Colin and Lilly Baltzly, Macaiah and Mackenzie Weaver, India and Lee Lewis, Joseph and Juliette Baltzly, Alex , Davena, Christina, and Brandon Schleig and Myla Myers. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 4 - 6 p. m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Massillon.
