Winifred Winnie Langenfeld

Winifred “Winnie” Langenfeld, age 83 of Green, passed away suddenly on March 3, 2009 at her residence. Winnie was born on April 18, 1925 in Massillon, the daughter of the late Wilson and Grace Swisher. Winnie and her husband Edward established and ran Eddies Live Bait on Nimisila Reservior. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard; daughter, Merrie Beth; brothers, Ralph and Wilbert Swisher. She is survived by her husband, Edward whom she married on May 29, 1947, her children and their spouses; Cynthia & Duane Knox, Edward & Cathy Langenfeld, Jr., Francis & Laurie Langenfeld, Sue & Wayne Westfall, and Joseph & Stacey Langenfeld, her sister, Dorothy Long. She was a proud Grandmother of 13 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren. She is loved deeply & will be missed greatly. She was always willing to help when asked. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.
