Wilma E. Schmolt

Wilma E. Schmolt, age 88 of Massillon, died on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born on December 19, 1920 in Kent, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Willis and Alma (Crawford) Lutz. She was a Massillon resident since 1948. Wilma was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she had been active on many committees, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Delta Theta Tau Sorority and had volunteered at the former Massillon Community Hospital for 3,962 hours. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Schmolt and two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Thomas and Deborah Schmolt, three grandchildren, Tracie Schmolt, Jason (Jennifer) Schmolt and Brent Schmolt and two great grandchildren, Trent and Calvin. Also surviving is her brother Paul (Evelyn) Lutz. A service to celebrate the life of Wilma E. Schmolt will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Robert Brigham officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
