Willie J. Kelly

Willie J. Kelly, 91 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Willie was born on August 6, 1926 in Carthage, NC the son of Willie and Vada (Matthews) Kelly. Willie retired from Mercury Stainless Steel Company. He had his own rubbish route for at least 30 years. He loved tending to his flower gardens both at his home and at his church. Willie was a member of Morning Star United Holy Church (which he helped build) for 60 years, as well as a Deacon. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alma Tuck, and his brothers, George, Wilbert, Leonard and Haywood Kelly. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Meadows) Kelly whom he shared 61 years of marriage; daughter, April (Reggie) Isaac; son, Merle Henderson; grandchildren, Erica Spencer, LaTerra Henderson and Jasmine Henderson; 4 great grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Morning Star United Holy Church. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. Paquelet Funeral Home & Crematory (330) 833-3222
