William P. Nagel

William P. Nagel, 77, of Massillon, passed away suddenly on June 23, 2017. He was born on June 2, 1940 in Canton, Ohio to the late William G. and Grace L. (Overly) Nagel. William married Shirley Boswell on November 20, 1971. He was a longtime teacher who retired from Massillon Washington High School. William was also a member of Faith Community Fellowship. He loved being a husband and father, but his greatest pride and joy was being a grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his wife Shirley of 45 years, son, William (Melissa) Nagel and daughter, Diana Nagel; Grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and Kyle Nagel; sisters, Carolynne (David) Foss and Jeanne (Roger) Fox. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A celebration of William’s life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Community Fellowship with Rev. Mike Kager officiating.
