William Nash Bess, age 102, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 7, 2012. He was born on July 4, 1909 in Richwood, WV and was the son of the late Orville Thomas and Ann Bess. He retired from Firestone and enjoyed gardening, deer hunting and his flowers. Bill was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle for 56 years. His greatest joy was found in his family and his walk with his God. He would be the first to tell you of the goodness of Jesus in his life and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Ilo B. Bess. Bill is survived by his children and their spouses, William H. and Carol Ann Bess, Robert D. and Betty Bess, Mary Y. and Dale Dickson, Martha Ann and Dennis Young and Linda Lou and Joseph Clark. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of William Bess will take place on Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle with Rev. Harold Strange officiating. Burial will follow at East Liberty Cemetery in Green, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home and on Friday one hour before the service at the church.
