William M. Ludwig

William M. Ludwig Sr., age 72 of Massillon passed away Monday. Bill was born February 4, 1941 in Brewster to the late Michael & Catherine (Rozlog) Ludwig. He was a member of the last graduating class from Brewster High School 1960. Bill was employed for 32 years as a millwright for Republic Engineered Steel. He was best known for his quick wit and love for his family. In addition to his parents a sister, Carol Ludwig preceded him in death. Bill shared 49 years of marriage with his wife, Evelyn (Ginther) Ludwig; they have four children; Jennifer (Dan) Harold, William (Cheryl) Ludwig Jr., Melissa (Michael) Schaub and Rebecca (Justin) Saffell. The grandchildren he teased and loved: Alexis, Jonathan and Sammy Harold; Erika, Megan, Rachel and Alex Ludwig; Gavin and Gabby Schaub; Katlyn and Jacob Saffell. Also, a brother John Ludwig survives. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massillon. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home.
