William L. Nesbit, 86, passed away on June 16, 2015 following an extended illness. He was born and raised in Licking County on, August 17, 1928 to the late Roy and Lola (Davis) Nesbit. William retired from Ohio Power, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a Captain on the St. Louis Volunteer Fire Department, a Free Mason and a member of The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Right. He was also a member of Sociable Sixties, The Otterbein United Methodist Church and Ohio Power Retirees. William loved woodworking, gardening, golfing and cards. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Nethers) Nesbit, whom he married on September 3, 1949; their children, Ann Churpek of Navarre, Chris (Gary) Hoslar of Canton and Todd (Suzzanne) Nesbit of Bell Air, MD; six grandchildren; four great – grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth (Max) Wright of Newark. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Hughes. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet& Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 6:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00AM. Burial will be in East Union Lawn Cemetery, Rev. Scott Hayward, officiating.
