William H. Mclaughlin

William H. McLaughlin age 81 passed away Friday at Aultman Hospital. Bill was born February 5, 1930 in Massillon to the late Edwin & Violet (Wetzel) McLaughlin and was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School. He had been employed by the railroad and retired from Wayne-Dalton Door. Bill is remembered as an avid Indians and Buckeyes fan. He loved dancing, especially with his sister Bev, and won many contests. Bill enjoyed playing euchre, horseshoes and having family barbeques. A former member of the Eagles and K of C, and participated in several bowling leagues. He was preceded in death by his wife Martha J. McLaughlin (1995), two sons, David & Kim McLaughlin; two sisters Diane McLaughlin and Doris Fockler; and a brother Arthur McLaughlin. Bill is survived by five sons and daughters in law: William & Debra McLaughlin, Carl & Kelly McLaughlin, Rick & Debra McLaughlin, Randy & Traci McLaughlin and Michael McLaughlin; there are thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. He has four sisters and one brother: Helen Widder, Beverly (Dave) Worshil, Sharon McLaughlin, Donna Selogy and Ed McLaughlin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Tuesday at St. Joseph Church in Massillon. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Garden. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home.
