William H. Bitzel

William H. Bitzel Jr, 89, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born August 26, 1931 in Canton to William and Anna (Trbovich) Bitzel, Sr. William was a veteran of The Korean War serving in The United States Navy. He was a 1949 graduate of Canton South High School and a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, where he sang in the choir for over 50 years. William enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching Indians Baseball. He retired from Midwestern Industries after 37 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Eva (Christoff) Bitzel, whom he married on May 13, 1956; their children, Robert (Cindy) Bitzel and Barbara Carlile; grandchildren, Cory Bitzel, Gabrielle Carlile and Grace Carlile; and great-grandchildren, Amayah and Ella. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dolly Templeton. Family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday , August 19, 2021 from 5pm-7pm with a Pomen service to be held at 7pm. His funeral service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:30am in the Paquelet Funeral Home , Celebrated by The Rev. Fr. Aleska Pavichevich .
