William Gail Rogers

William Gail Rogers, age 85 of Massillon passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center. William was born on January 10, 1926 in Newton, WV the son of the late Clark and Orva (Hicks) Rogers. William lived in the area most of his life. He worked for Republic Steel retiring after 38 years of service. William was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. William also bred hunting dogs. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his infant son Larry and his brothers Hersey and Forest Rogers. He is survived by his children June (Dan) Bucher of East Sparta, OH, Nancy Rogers of Navarre, David Rogers of Buffalo, NY, Sharon (George) Gorog of N. Canton and Judy Reece of East Sparta, OH; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and his sister Lawanda Hickel of Baltimore, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Rev. Cecil Thayer of Massillon Baptist Temple will be officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
