William G. Mastreano

William G. “Bill” Mastreano, age 96 of Massillon, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 following a brief illness. William was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII. He worked at Perry Rubber Co. retiring in 1985 after 27 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus – 4th Degree. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and photography. He was preceded in death by his wife Carmela Mastreano in 2005 and his brother Amarigo “Archie” Mastreano. He is survived by his children Dorina Firestone and Bill (Christina) Mastreano, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He is now at peace with his beloved Carm to whom he was married for 65 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. Fr. Raymond Paul will be officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours for friends and family will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-8 PM. K.F.C. Counsel #554 will conduct a service Tuesday at 4:45 PM prior to the calling hours at the funeral home.
