William E. Walker, Sr., age 85 of Massillon, formerly of Brewster, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 19, 2012. He was born on January 15, 1927 in Uhrichsville, Ohio and was the son of the late Cary T. and Cora M. (Wells) Walker. Following his graduation at the former Navarre High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II. He then went on to vocational school and became a licensed electrician. Bill retired from Ashland Oil. He was a member of the F.O.E. #190, the V.F.W., he was a former member of the Navarre Lions Club and enjoyed competing in ballroom dancing. He is survived by his wife, N. Kathryn (Wilson) Walker, to whom he was married 63 years, his daughter, Kathy (Ron) Knobloch, his son, William E. Walker, Jr., his grandchildren, Valerie and Buck Luckner, Butch Knobloch and Chad and Jen Knobloch, his great grandchildren, Cassandra, Skylar, Rylan and Caleb, step great grandchild, Constance and his sisters, Eunice Smith and Bonnie Warstler. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Thayer officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
