William E. Rice

William E. Rice age 66 of Massillon passed away Tuesday November 8, 2011. Bill was born August 23, 1945 in Martins Ferry, OH and lived in Massillon since 1983. He served in the US Marines and then work for the Dept of the Army in Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Bill served as past president and secretary of FOE #190 and was active in the Bowling League. In addition he was a member of the American Legion Post #221, VFW and DAV’s. Bill will be remembered for the volunteer work for the DAV and gave of himself to help others. He will be remembered as a LOVING Daddy, Grandpap and a friend to all. Daddy will be dearly missed by his two daughters: Melissa Rice and Maureen Kelly (Jason) Sepulveda both of Sierra Vista, AZ and a step-son Steven Barrett of Tombstone, AZ. There are three grandchildren: Randall Rice, Shelby Beuning and Jacob Stewart Rice. Services and interment will be in Sierra Vista, AZ. The family would like to give heartfelt recognition to Crossroads Hospice and the staff at Rose Lane Care Center. Special special recognition is given to DeeAnna Steed for the wonderful care giving and support for the last 7 years during his illness.
