William Dale Schreckengost

William Dale Schreckengost, 79, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, following an extended illness. He was born in Canton on September 24, 1936 to the late Everett and Clara (Gantz) Schreckengost. William was a veteran of the Marine Corps and worked as a painter until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion, Sons of Herman, V.F.W., Army- Navy Club, Am vets and the former Moose. He is survived by his children, Cathy Jo Lockamy, Kelly Mule and Danny Mule all of Colorado, Richard Schreckengost and William J. Schreckengost, both of Canton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister Joann (Jesse) Fowler of Massillon. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen M. Conroy; two brothers, Eddie and Bob Schreckengost; and a sister Ethel Murphy. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6pm-8pm. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 10:30am Friday August 12, 2016. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery.
