William D. Doll, Sr,. age 82 of Dalton, Ohio, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on September 23, 1924 in Massillon and was the son of the late Russell & Helen (Fenstermaker) Doll. He was a lifelong area resident. Bill was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Navy Seabees. He retired from The Timken Company where he was a Supervisor of 211 Building. He was a member of the Timken Retirees. He was a lifelong supporter and former member of the Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son William, his brothers Russell and Veryl Doll and his sisters Phyllis Bossart and Janet Snyder. He is survived by his wife; Mary A. (Wazlavek) Doll whom he married on December 10, 1945, 2 sons; William D. (Diane) Doll, Jr. of Massillon and David A. (Dianne) Doll of North Canton, his grandchildren, Jennifer Lewis, Charity (Aaron) Spicer, Donovan Lloyd, Amanda Doll, Shelley (William) Scroggs, Christie (Matt) Timmons, Laurie Saunier, Harmony (Mark) Mauser, Scott Saunier, Trevor (Jen) Doll and Eric Saunier, 11 great grandchildren; and his sister; Joann (Warren) Eckroad of Massillon. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Edd Matako officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
