William (Bill) D. Lewis, age 78 of Navarre, passed away on September 3. He was born in Cuzzart, West Virginia in Preston County, on May 27, 1943, to the late Garland Lewis and Mary Marie (Strauser). He graduated from Washington High School in 1961. Bill worked and retired from the City of Massillon after 30 years of service. “Wild Bill” enjoyed hunting big game in West Virginia, riding his motorcycle, pulling the arm of a slot machine, grooming Asil Roosters, and excavating dirt whenever he could. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant newborn son, William David Lewis Jr., older sister, Lorraine Ficarra, younger brother, James “Jim” H. Lewis and a special friend Janet Manweiler. He is survived by his ex-wife, Marvis (Shankle) Lewis, three daughters, Corina Feijoo (Tony), Cerrie DeBos (Rick), Celina Kohler (Rich) and a son, William D. “Bo” Lewis II (Debbie); five grandchildren, Kyle DeBos (Mary), Kendall Lewis, Kolton Kohler, Kailee Kohler and Danny Lewis: three great-grandchildren, Chip DeBos, Sutton DeBos, Annabella Lewis and expecting another in October. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. Cremation will be handled by Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home.
