William “Bill” Charles Kauffman, age 74 of Jackson Twp., passed away Thursday at his residence. He was born on May 17, 1933 in North Canton to the late William and Vallah Kauffman. William was a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School. In 1953 he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. William worked for the Timken Company as an inspector until retiring in 1995. He also was a journeyman of the bricklaying trade. William was a member of Massillon Knights of Columbus #554. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Sandy Miller and his brother Dean Kauffman. He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey (Scharver) Kauffman whom he married on June 11, 1955, son, Christ (Tina) Kauffman of Jackson Twp., grandchildren, Erika (Richard) Hull of Portage Lakes, and Trisha (fiancee’ John Fetter) Kauffman of Jackson Twp., great-grandchildren, Ricky and Maria Hull, sisters, Gloria Ginsberg of Canton and Carol (Dick) Bealer of Greentown, and his brother, Ralph (Penny) Kauffman of Jackson Twp. Bill was a fun loving guy and a friend to all he met. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Massillon. Calling hours will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home Friday, June 15, 2007 from 6-8 P.M. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
