Wilbur H. Jewell

Wilbur H. Jewell, 87, passed away peacefully August 3rd, 2024.

He was born on May 15, 1937 in Canton, OH to the late James H. and Nellie M.(Egleston-Brediger) Jewell.

Wilbur was a 1955 graduate of Malvern High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. On January 21st, 1961, Wilbur married the love of his life, Doris (Householder) Jewell. He worked as an HVAC technician for Honeywell, Inc., where he retired after 23 years of employment. Wilbur was known as a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon E. (Jerry) Dyer; granddaughter, Dailynn G. Dyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Doris, and his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffry H. and Deborah L. Jewell; and sister, Judith Aquino.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 8th, 2024, at the Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, OH, where Funeral Services with full military honors will be held promptly at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Keith Brown officiating. Burial in Grandview Union Cemetery will immediately follow.
