Wesley R. DeHass age 75 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday morning at Meadow Wind Health Care Center following an extended illness. Wesley was born on October 25, 1930 to the late Elias and Thelma (Hill) DeHass and was a Massillon resident most of his life. He was the owner of the Twin Maples Nursing Home and later retired from Castle Nursing Home in 1999 as an administrator. Wesley was Honorable Discharged from the United States Navy. He was a member of the Massillon Kiwanis. Wesley enjoyed playing cards and setting by campfires with his brother-in-law Dutch. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; his sisters, Roberta Muir and Martha Barnes, and a brother, Delbert DeHass. He is survived by; his wife with whom he celebrated 26 years of marriage on September 25, 2005, Theresa M. (Rambo) DeHass, Daughter and son-in-law, Julie and John Glutting of Jackson, Twp., sons and daughter-in-law, Dan and Karen DeHass of Pennsylvania and Darren DeHass of Colorado, Step daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Charles Kennedy, step sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Pam DeGordon, and Scott and Michelle DeGordon all of Massillon, Brother, Ralph DeHass of North Carolina, and sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Willis Muir of Malvern, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 Noon at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Alber, officiating. Calling hours will be Saturday 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Interment will follow the services at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank the staffs at Chapel Hill and Meadow Winds Health Care Center and Wesley's granddaughter, Chrissy, for the great care that they provided.
