Werner E. Dominik

Werner E. Dominik age 54 of Navarre passed away May 14, 2011 at his residence with his family at his side. Werner was born in Massillon on May 15, 1956 to Guenther & Helene (Mayser) Dominik and was a 1974 graduate of Fairless High School. He retired from maintenance at the Timken Gambranius Plant in 2009. Werner was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Navarre and McKinley Lodge #431 F & AM. Werner had a life long love of scouting, beginning when he was eight years old. An Eagle Scout, he participated as an adult as an assistant Scout Master and as a trainer for the Buckeye Council. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping and the fellowship of Scouting. He was preceded in death by his father Guenther Dominik in 2004. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Pugh) Dominik of the residence; four sons, Matthew Dominik of Cincinnati, Brian Dominik of Greenville, NC, Paul Curtis and Kaleb Dominik both of the residence; granddaughter, Tamiko; mother, Helene ‘Oma’ Dominik of Navarre; sister, Christina (Gerry) Sinkovich of North Canton; two brothers, Erich (Ashley) Dominik & Ernie (Julie) Dominik all of Massillon; aunt, Renate Rulle of Lima and numerous nieces and nephews. His funeral will be 11 AM Friday St. Paul United Church of Christ in Navarre, his pastor Rev. Elaine Tullis will officiate. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
