Wayne H. Snyder

Wayne H. Snyder, 83 of Massillon, died on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on November 28, 1925 in Massillon, Ohio and was the son of the late Nick and Alta (Ridenbaugh) Snyder. He was a lifelong area resident. He served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army. Wayne worked at the former Republic Stee for many years. He retired as a sales representative with Gateway Trucking. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed golfing and was a member of the D.A. V # 38. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Nick and Verle Snyder and his sister Ruth Debter. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Balash) Snyder who he married on April 15, 1946. Also surviving are his sister Janet Snyder of Massillon and many nieces and nephews. Private services will take place later this week. There are no calling hours.
