Wayne E. Fike

Wayne Fike, age 76 of Jackson Twp, passed away on May 05, 2017. He was born on October 15, 1940 in Rome, New York, to the late Edwin and Edna Fike. He married Alice Jean Bednar on December 18, 1971 and they shared 44 years together until her passing on April 28, 2016. Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was employed with J.C. Penney and worked for Coca Cola as a Salesman until his retirement. He was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Wayne was an avid Sports Fan. Wayne was a compassionate person who believed in doing more for others. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his son John (Kristin) Fike; his granddaughters Anna and Jessica Fike; his brother Terry (Sally) Fike, his sister Linda (Glen) Bahr and a host of family and friends. A Celebration of his life will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Canton on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11a.m. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Tuesday, May 09, 2017 from 6-8p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
