Wayne C. Webb, age 77 of Massillon, passed away on January 26, 2021. Wayne was born on May 23, 1943 in New Philadelphia to Eugene and Eva (Williams) Webb. He was named Boy of the Year from the Massillon Boys and Girls Club in 1958. He enjoyed softball and played on a league until he was 48 years old as well as sponsored a softball team. Wayne worked for Westinghouse and then owned his own business, Massillon Lighting Supply. He served in the US Army and retired from the National Guard after 20 years, he also retired from Elum Music in Massillon. He liked to travel with his wife. He loved to cook and spend time with his grandchildren. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ramon “Toby” Webb, sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Clapper, and brother-in-law, Bill Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Judy, children, Lisa Thomas, Jackson (Cheryl) Thomas, III, Sue Thomas-Cornelius, and Angela (Brock) Ryan, sister, Jean Smith, grandchildren, Jackson Thomas IV, Sarah (Daniel) Freeman, Jessica Cornelius, Justin Cornelius, Hartley Ryan, Logan Ryan, Anastasia Miller, and Isaac Gnagy, great-grandchildren, Hannah and Felicity Theilen, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may come to call on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. The service will be live streamed at 11:00 a.m. by clicking the link below. A private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
