Wanda Jean Geiger

Wanda Jean Geiger, 86, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Wanda was born on May 18, 1936, in Massillon, the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Brunkhart) Fitting. Wanda was an avid bowler in her earlier years. Wanda enjoyed playing bingo and working on puzzles. Wanda loved the Cleveland baseball team and the Cavs. She loved spending time with her grandkids. Wanda was a great cook and baker as her family remembers. She also crocheted. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Geiger; son, Steven Douglas Geiger; sister, Shirley Knight; and brother Robert Fitting. She is survived by her children, Frederick R. (Becky) Geiger, Daniel Geiger, Richard Geiger, and Deborah (Tony) Haney; grandchildren, Daniel Geiger, Jr., Lori (Mike) Johnson, James (Maria) Geiger, Christine (Will) Ling, Lisa (Jeremiah) Rossiter, Jeffrey Potter, Jr., Cody Fitzgerald, Kayla Fitzgerald, Mathew Geiger, and Kathryn Geiger; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 12 - 1 p.m. Celebration of Wanda's life will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Burial Park.
