Walter Norman “Spike” Speicher, age 80 of Brewster, passed away Saturday morning at his residence. He was born in Brewster on July 3, 1926 to the late Charles and Marietta Speicher. Walter was a U.S. Army WWII veteran. He had worked on Tom Dutton’s farms for 40 yrs. Walter was a member of the Church of Christ in Massillon. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Walter is survived by his wife of 58 yrs. Juanita (Ady), sons; David (Joyce) Speicher of Rome, OH, Lester Speicher of Canal Fulton, Bobby (Misty) Speicher of Brewster, daughters, Myra (Chris) Alexander of Belleville, OH, Tina (Tim) Bonifant of Massillon and Cathy (Doug) Clouse of Canton, OH, sisters, Pearl Speck of Massillon and Ruby (Paul) Geiger of Massillon, brothers, Lester (Betty) Speicher of Loudenville, Eddie (Lavonne) Speicher of Dalton, Tom (Nesta) Speicher of Brewster, Keith (Lois) Speicher of Navarre and Dennis (Sandy) Speicher of Nevada, 41 grandchildren and 26 great - grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Arnold – Lynch Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 5 – 8 p.m. Evangelist Glenn Hawkins of the Massillon Church of Christ will be officiating.
