Vivian J. Winnett

Vivian J. Winnett, age 81 of Massillon, died on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on February 23, 1928 in Brewster, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Ralph Shorb and Ruth (Swan) Shorb Boston who lives in Riverview, Florida. She graduated from the former Hartville High School. Vivian was an avid bowler and had served as the president of the Canton Women’s Bowling Association for many years. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Winnett, Sr. and her sister, Rosie Mills. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, William and Joetta Winnett, Jr. of Massillon, her grandchildren, Tara (Drew) Bates of Canton and Phillip Winnett of Massillon, her mother Ruth Boston of Riverview, FL, her sisters, Ruth (Anthony) Liotta of Massillon and Pearl Kieffer Lake Wales, FL and her brothers, John (Shirley) Blaine of Washington, Robert West and Reggie (Mary Ann) Valdez all of Riverview, FL. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot, Ohio.
