Virginia Rita Dean

Virginia Rita Dean, 84 of Massillon, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at Amherst Meadows after a three year illness. She was born on March 1, 1924 in Ravenna, Ohio to Guy and Grace (Sicuro) Tontimonia. She graduated from Ravenna High School. She married Joseph Dean Sr. on November 6, 1948 and then they both moved to Massillon in 1954. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Massillon. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Mike and Sunday Tontimonia. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Dean, Sr. of the residence; daughter & son-in-law, Rita Christine & Maurice Crevier of Eden Prairie, MN; sons & daughters-in-law, John M. & Pamela Dean of Massillon, Joseph J. Jr. & Vickie Dean of North Canton; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, John Tontimonia of Ravenna, Ohio. Private graveside services will be held Friday at St. Joseph Cemetery. The Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon handled the arrangements.
