Virginia Mae Mclaughlin

Virginia Mae McLaughlin, 96, of Massillon passed away on December 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving daughter and son-in-law. She was born on May 13, 1922 in Massillon to the late Louis and Martha Wacker. Virginia was also a graduate of Washington High School. In her spare time, Virginia loved gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed cooking and having Sunday Dinners with her family and loved to bake, especially pumpkin pie. Virginia’s greatest passion in life was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Geraldine (John) Parsons and her son Mac (Wanda) McLaughlin; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald McLaughlin and her siblings Bes, Honey, Loretta, Bill and Irene Getz.. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 5-6 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. David Oliver Kling officiating. Her final resting place will be at Brookfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd.
