Virginia Mae Cutka

Virginia M. Cutka, 84, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012. She was born in Forbes Road, Pennsylvania on August 12, 1927 to the late John and Mary (Hrasko) Tuchaur. She married John S. Cutka on May 25, 1957 and they were together until his passing on August 9, 1964. Virginia worked for CNA Insurance for 15 years in Chicago, IL. until her retirement. She was a long time member of the Lutheran Church, active in parishes in Detroit, Whiting, Indiana, and Massillon. She was also a member of the Martha Society. Virginia will be remembered as a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, an organist, choir director and Master of the "Balanced Checkbook". She is survived by her daughter Mary (Ken) Sander, son John S.(Sharon) Cutka Jr; 10 grandchildren, John M. Telloni, Dr. Stephen Telloni, Maria (Chris) Tazzi, Amy Telloni, Vanessa (Mario) Calderon, Shelly (Nick) Glinski, Emily Cutka, Scott Sander, Emily (Joe) Mitchell, and Ben Sander; 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-Laws, Martha (Ted) Muta, Ruth Sproch, and Nancy Cutka; and former son-in-law, Reverend John L. Telloni. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Jakubik, Margaret Rosik, Anna Toth; her brothers John Tuchaur and Joseph Turcsan; and her infant grandson Peter Telloni. A celebration of Virginia's life will be held at St. John Lutheran Church on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend John L. Telloni officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will take place on June 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Virginia's memory to St. John Lutheran Church Organ Fund, 1900 Wales Rd. N.E., Massillon, OH 44646 or Mexican Border Ministries P.O. Box 2323, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Rose Lane, Aultman Hospice, and her special friend and caregiver Trini Fenton for filling Mom's last days with comfort and joy.
