Virginia F. Dominick

It is with great sadness that the family of Virginia F. Dominick announces her death at the age of 80 on August 2, 2017. Virginia passed away at home surrounded by her family following a brief illness. Born December 7, 1936 in Wooster, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillie (Plummer) Reed. Virginia graduated from Dalton High School in 1955 and married Emil Dominick on May 2, 1959. She worked for Superior Brand Meats for over 30 years and was also employed by Roberts Express. Virginia was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and vacationing with her friends and family. However, her time spent as MeMe to her four grandchildren was her greatest joy. Virginia will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her husband, Emil Dominick, with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage; two daughters, Sheri and her husband Ronnie Steffey, Lisa and her husband Christopher Smith; four grandchildren, Logan and Emily Steele and Wyatt and Ellie Smith; siblings Betty Tasseff, Paul (Ada) Reed and Norma Reed; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her brothers Robert, Richard and Raymond Reed; sisters Naomi Werntz, Mary Stoll and Dorothy Fisher. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church with Fr. Cebula officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Barbara’s Catholic Church.
