Virginia A. Kloha

Virginia A. Kloha, age 87 of Massillon, died on Thursday, January 7, 2010. She was born on July 26, 1922 in New Philadelphia, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Charles and Anne (Robertson) Dauer. Virginia was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. She was a member of the American Legion Post #221 and the First Baptist Church in Massillon. She had worked at the former Howard Johnson’s Restaurant. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Kloha in 1996, a brother Bud Dauer, three sisters, Emma Powell, the twins Mary Struchen and Jane (Jen) Ziegler. She is survived by her three children: Diane (Buck) Buchanan of Houston, Cathy (Willie) Williamson of Albuquerque, NM and Frank (Rae Ann) Silverthorn of Leetonia; a brother, Jack Dauer of Zoarville; five grandchildren, Nathan, Elizabeth, Eric, Drew and David and two great grandchildren, Esperanza, Jackson and one on the way. Funeral services will be conducted 10 AM Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Massillon with Dr. Roger Alber officiating. Burial will follow at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
