Vincent Leo Drouhard, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Vince was born January 1, 1929, to Edward and Laura (Wepler) Drouhard. He attended Saint John High School (Central Catholic) and John Carroll University, then graduated from Ohio Northern University with a degree in Pharmacy. He worked at Gray Drugs in Massillon and at Briner's Drug Store. Vince was united in marriage on July 4, 1956, to Lois Converse. They had 8 children, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He was an active member of Saint Barbara’s parish for 62 years. He was a member of the Catholic Foresters, The Knights of Columbus. He and Lois were professed members of the Holy Family Institute. He was Dad, Pop, Mr. D., and Vince. He had a smile and warm greeting for everyone he met. It seemed a quarter of the town knew him from Briner’s Drugs and another quarter from St. Barbara’s or Knights of Columbus. He is remembered for his kindness, patience, silly songs, whistling joyful tunes, peanut butter, ice cream, gardening, coins, and devotion to Lois and God. Vince is survived by sons Allan and Ned, daughters Mary Kerestes and Amy Hasle and their spouses, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Lois, daughters Marcella and Elizabeth Ann, sons Matthew and Stephen; Sisters Ruth Heline, Florence Seifert, Grace Krantz, Geraldine Gretchko, Alice Bachtel and brother Charles. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated with family, at 10 AM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Massillon. Father Edward Gretchko, nephew of Vincent will officiate.
