Vincent Lawrence Rankl

Vincent Lawrence Rankl, age 99 of Massillon left this earth on Saturday March 27, 2010. He has joined his beloved wife Bessie M. (Boekel) Rankl with whom he enjoyed 71 years of marriage until her death March 15, 2002. Vince was born September 12, 1910 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late John & Elizabeth (Imhoff) Rankl. Mr. Rankl owned the former Rankl’s Auto Service until his retirement in 1970. He is a member of Whipple Heights CMA Church in Canton. Besides his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by one son Robert J. Rankl Sr., two brothers Edward & Arthur Rankl and two sisters Lillian Heely & Henrietta Peed. He is survived by one son Arthur (Virginia) Rankl, one daughter Linda (James) Fowler and a daughter in law Nancy Rankl all of Massillon. Seven grandchildren: Robert Rankl Jr. and fiancé Barb Fowler, Ray (Karen) Rankl, Connie (Tim) Garber, Randy (Cindi) Rankl, Pennie (Shawn) Baltzer, Lisa & Lori Fowler. Twelve great grandchildren: Robert Rankl, Lindsay Rankl, Erica (Steve) Gatrell, Christie Rankl, Scott (Katie) Garber, Ryan (Stacey) Garber, Jake (Jackie) Rankl, Cory Emery, Keshia Fowler, Tisha Fowler, Courtney Fowler & Seth Baltzer. Three great great grandchildren: T.J. Rankl, Natalie Garber, Isaac Garber and Curtis Garber. A Homegoing Celebration of his life will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, his pastor Taylor Williams will officiate. Final resting place will be Massillon Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 until the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Whipple Heights CMA Church will be greatly appreciated or the charity of your choice.
