Verna A. 'Rice' Jones

Verna A. (Rice) Jones, age 61 of Massillon, passed away Sunday November 7, 2010. Verna was born December 15, 1948 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Robert & Carol (Wright) Rice and moved to Massillon in 1988. Verna was the beloved mother of five children, Diona Gray, CW3 Herbert (Lisa) Gray, Gerald (Melanie) Gray Sr., Mildred Gray and Amber Jones. Mom was everyone’s lighthouse. She dearly loved all ten of her little sparrows (grandchildren). In addition there are three sisters: Becky Graden, Sue Smith and Jayne Rice and her companion of 35 years, Jimmy Jones. Verna will be missed and her memory cherished by all. A Memorial gathering of friends will be 6-8 PM Friday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with a closing prayer at 8PM.
