Vera Kay Evans

Vera "Kay" Evans, age 74 passed away from Cancer on November 06, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 14, 1940 in Holloway, OH to the late James and Vivian (Axxe) Bendure. She was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School. She married Thomas R. Evans on December 15, 1962 and they shared almost 52 good years together and he survives her. Kay was woman of many talents. She was an Artist, a great cook, PTA Organizer, Softball Coach, a Band parent, Paper Lady, a faithful McDonald's employee and she absolutely adored Roy Rogers to boot. Her proudest accomplishment is that of a devoted and loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and a damn good neighbor. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Peggy Lung, Patricia Evans and Sean (Lisa) Evans; her grandchildren Dustin Lung, Kyle Evans, and Shelby Evans; a great-granddaughter Kaelyn Marie Lung; and a brother James (Sara) Bendure. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jack Bendure and her sister Carol Wallace. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 8P.M. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memory Gardens at a later date.
