Vera J. Anderson

Vera J. Anderson, 80 of Jackson Township, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Sunday, April 8, 2012. She was born in Lake Park, Iowa on May 8, 1931 to the late Walter "Ted" & Ruby Smith Delaney. Vera was a graduate of Lake Park High School, Class of 1948 and a graduate of Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, MO. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church for over 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She looked forward every year to the family vacation in Minnesota with her children and grandchildren, who along with her beloved husband were everything to her. One of the highlights of Vera's life was meeting on Friday nights for dinner with her many friends. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Paul J. Anderson, whom she married on July 9, 1950; two sons, Mark (Debbie) Anderson of Wadsworth, Scott Anderson of Vandalia; two daughters, Debbie (Skip) Anderson of Moorhead, MN, Peggy Hayes of Moorhead, MN; ten grandchildren, Eric, Mike, Molly, Tony, Adam, Andrea, Nate, Brian, Laura and Erin; two great-granddaughters, Bailey and Braylyn; brother, Jerry (Janet) Delaney of Lake Park, IA; sister-in-law, Jean Delaney of Lake Park, IA; brother-in-law, Bruce (Elaine)Anderson of Moline, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Neal Delaney; sister, Julie Butler and granddaughter, Katie Sustad. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday April 12, 2012 from 6:00PM-8:00PM and one hour prior to a funeral service at 11:00AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1900 Wales Road NE, Massillon, Ohio 44646 on Friday, April 13, 2012, with Pastor John Telloni, officiating.
