Velma E. Thomas

Velma E. Thomas, age 89 of Louisville, Ohio, formerly of Massillon, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville, Ohio. She was born in Massillon on December 21, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Marjorie (Gordon) Fothergill. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Thomas, her sister Maxine Lindsay and her brothers, Donald and Gordon Fothergill. She is survived by her sons, Donald C. (Susan) Thomas of Bokeelia, FL and Richard W. (Kathleen) Thomas of Louisville, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her sister Leona Wagner of Massillon. A service to celebrate the life of Velma Thomas will take place on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Chip Belanga officiating.
