Vaxter J. Lambert, 81, of Massillon, passed away on April 5, 2015. He was born in Wymer, WV on June 25, 1933 to the late Oley and Anna Elizabeth (Summerfield) Lambert. Vaxter was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for Republic Steel (LTV) until his retirement. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Lillian (White) Lambert, whom he married on August 8, 1953; four children, Roger (Carol) Lambert , Rose (Kenneth) Maxwell , Steven (Denise) Lambert and Mark Lambert; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Annabell Cook, Sheila Armentrout and Violet Losh; a brother Troy (Helen) Lambert and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Lambert. He is also preceded in death by his son, Gary Lambert. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 4:00PM-6:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 6:00PM, Rev. Kenneth Teter, officiating. It was Vaxter's wish to be cremated following his service and inurned at the Lambert Cemetery in WV.
