Valine M. Carter

Valine M. Carter, 80, of Navarre, passed away unexpectedly on December 7, 2021. She was born on February 14, 1941 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Charles and Marie (Bowman) Burd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy, her loving son Dwaine, as well as 4 brothers. The most important aspect of Valine’s life was being the matriarch of her family. She was deeply loved by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She did things out of grace and kindness and always said things with her sweet, southern accent. She was very caring and beyond supportive figure in everyone’s life. You could always count on Valine to be there at any time of the day for advice, a conversation, or for some of her southern comfort food which she perfected over the years. She will be deeply missed by her children, Kathy Conzen, Tammy Karahuta, Larry (Tonya) Carter, Sharon (Jeffrey) Stahlman, Kevin (Denise) Carter and Carrie (James Smith) Carter; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A private graveside will be held for the family at a later date at Brookfield Cemetery.
