Valerie Rice

Valerie Rice, age 59, of Massillon went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, on her husband’s birthday, September 21, 2008. Valerie was born in Massillon to the late Dan & Sheila (Watson) Bolster on February 19, 1949. She graduated from the Perry High School with the Class of 1967, following she became a nurse’s aid. Valerie married the love of her life on April 5, 1975, to the late Marvin E. Rice with whom she had three children. Valerie enjoyed being a stay at home mom and watching her children grow. She loved to read and hanging out with her boys. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Valerie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin E. Rice; two brothers, William & Dave Bolster and a good friend, William McHenry. She is survived by her sons, Titus & Dawn Rice of Massillon, Marvin X. Rice of Los Angeles, Michael Rice of Los Angeles; brother, Marc Bolster of Canton; grandchildren, Tyler, Brittany, Brianna & Titus Jr., Rice. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Friends may call from 6 – 8 P.M. on Thursday at the Paquelet Funeral Home.
