Valerie M. Phillips

Valerie M. Phillips, 44 of Massillon, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 in Canton, following an extended illness. She was born in Massillon on October 23, 1968 to Harrison L. Phillips of Massillon and the late Sylvia Boston. She was a graduate of Akron North High School. She was known as Lady V and as Fidge to her close friends and family. She was always the life of the party. She is also survived by nine sisters and brothers; Shelia (Willie) McGhee, Joyce Nichols, Jeff Phillips, Jackie (Leon) Carter, Gaylin (Joshua) Johnson, Lolita Castellanos, Sylvia Phillips, Karon Boston, Cassandra Boston, a son , Michael Phillips, two special aunts; Linda & Jackie Duncan, special uncle, Tommy Duncan and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 9:00AM-11:00 AM with a memorial service to follow at 11:00AM, Pastor Kent Herdon, officiating.
