Ursula L. Margazano

Ursula L. Margazano, age 87 of North Canton, died Monday October 8, 2007 at her residence. She was born on June 18, 1920 in Johnsonburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary (Pascarilla) Wilyat. In 1977 she retired from the United Steelworkers of America where she was executive secretary to the vice president. Her memberships included, the Ohio Women’s Bowling Association, the Massillon Women’s Club, the Lake Cable Women’s Club, the Canton Fine Arts, where she participated with the Krist Kindle Mart, the Pro Football Hall of Fame fashion show committee and Mayor’s Luncheon committee, the Black & White Ball committee at Walsh University, volunteered at the election polls, volunteered at Firestone Country Club during the World Series of Golf, was a member of the Brewster Alumni Association and was a member of the Elms CC. She was of Catholic faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Margazano after 48 years of marriage, her sons, Nicholas and Anthony “Tony” Margazano, her grandson Nicholas Margazano, her brothers, James Wilyat and Pat Wilyat and her sister Madeline Rouff. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kathy & Richard Frank of North Canton, Her grandchildren, Joseph Margazano, Brian Margazano, Joseph Cooper, Ursula Margazano and Chad Margazano, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, her sister Margaret Medure of Canton, her daughter in law, Paula Margazano and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place on Friday at 6:00 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-6 P.M. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place.
