Twyla E. Barron, age 95 passed away on September 10, 2016 at St. Luke's Lutheran Community in Portage Lakes. She was born on June 05, 1921 in Lake Benton, Minnesota to the late William and Ivy Morgan. She married Miles "Muggs" Barron on October 30, 1937 and they shared 59 years together. Twyla worked at City Loan for 29 years until her retirement in 1975 and, was proud to contribute to the war effort during World War II by working night shift in the defense industry. Twyla enjoyed knitting and crocheting, collecting antique glassware and china as well traveling to New England where she and Miles went on Antique Shopping Trips. She took pride in her garden and loved watching birds; cooking and baking. Twyla was known for her Thanksgiving dinners, Coffee Cake and her Christmas Cookies. She won her husband's heart with her Butterscotch Pies and carried on the tradition with special treats for every family member and friend. Twyla was a vibrant person who was active up until the last year of her life. Twyla is survived by her grandsons Joel (Jill) Barron and Mark (Faith) Barron; her great-grandchildren Troy, Amber, Devon, Gabe, Jack, Nicholas, Cassie, Alex, Veronica, Ranee, Grant, Ben, and Philip; her daughter-in-law Helen Barron; her granddaughter-in-law Nicole Barron-Taylor as well as a host of family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her only child Larry R. Barron; her daughter-in-law Phoebe L. Barron and her grandson Paul R. Barron. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 12 noon at the Paquelet Funeral Home-in Massillon. The family will receive friends from 11a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Garden.
