Twila V. White

January 18, 1934 — May 9, 2008

Twila V. White, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend walked into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ May 9, 2008. Twila, age 74 was peacefully within the heart of her home as her faithful husband, family and friends sat at her side. She was born January 18, 1934 in Robertsville, OH to the late Dillon and Ethel (Berry) Stump. She graduated from Louisville High School, and was captain of the girl's basketball team. Twila was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple for 53 years. She taught Sunday School in the Toddler Dept. at the Temple for 30 years. Together she and her husband owned and operated Whitey's Sunoco Station on the corner of Traphagen & Wales Rd for 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Clarence and Leonard Stump. Twila was best known for her gift of love. She was one of those special people who knew how to follow Christ's commandment, Love one another. Her love, laughter and smile will fill our hearts and lives forever. We stand changed because of her presence in our lives. Twila will be forever missed by her husband; Joseph E. 'Whitey' White with whom she would have shared 53 years of marriage on June 5th. They have two children and spouses: Kathleen & Jerry Schen of Jackson Twp. and Larry & Kim White of Conway, SC; there are four grandchildren: Joshua (Amber) Schen, Jordan Schen, Jacob White and Jared White. There are two surviving brothers: Larry Stump of Great Falls, MT, and Richard Stump of Lynchburg, VA. Family and friends are invited to join with the family 10 AM Wednesday in honor of Twila's Home Going. The Rev. Mike Frazier and her daughter Chaplain Kathleen Schen will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8PM and from 9AM until the service on Wednesday at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amanda and Aultman Hospice for your special gift of love, compassion, and presence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Larry White Cancer Fund at Charter One Bank, 2200 Wales Rd., Massillon, 44646. Messages of support and sympathy can be sent to www.arnoldlynch.com.
