Funeral Home Version
Gone too soon but a life well lived. Tracie Prosser, 60, of Massillon, lost her battle with cancer and left this earth to spend eternity with Jesus on November 11, 2022. She was born on May 24, 1962 in Crestline and raised in Mansfield where she met and married the love of her life, Peter, at the young age of seventeen and had forty-two years of marriage together.
Tracie spent many years working as a waitress at Bob Evans and Corky’s Café and as a driving instructor helping hundreds of students earn their driver’s license.
If you knew Tracie, then you are aware that she was a fighter. Over her lifetime, Tracie battled two collapsed lungs, a brain aneurysm with no side effects, and multiple other struggles.
More than anything, Tracie loved her granddaughters and always stayed up to date on all their school activities and sports and also had a huge heart for animals, especially her dogs. Her favorite thing to do was spend evenings in the backyard with Peter and have a fire while listening to music.
Tracie is survived by her mother, Marilyn Kelber; husband, Peter Prosser; son, Ryan (Jennifer) Prosser; daughter, Karisa (Andrew) Fraley; daughter, Amber Logue; sister, Joy Logue; sister, Tina (Fred) Solinger; brother James Pennington; four granddaughters, Penny, Kinsley, Adalee, and Charley and multiple nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She is proceeded in death by her father and step-mother, Denver and Cari Pennington; and step-father Don Kelber.
Special thanks to Walter and Brandi Prosser and Dorris Cox for the love and support you have given and also the nurses from Mercy Medical Hospice, Chelsee and Angela for not only loving and caring for Tracie, but our entire family.
Calling hours will be held from 10-11 am, followed by a memorial service at Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 15th. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Save a Mom Dog Rescue at www.saveamomrescue.com.
