Tony (Antonije) Marinkovich, 60, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at home. He was born on December 10, 1957 in Kozarac, Yugoslavia and was the son of the late Mile and Ljubica Marinkovich. Tony grew up in Massillon and graduated from Washington High School and was an avid Massillon Tiger and Ohio State Buckeye fan. In his youth, he won dozens of awards in hare scramble (off-road motorcycle racing) and motocross. He was a self-taught engineer, and his hobby and passion was restoring vintage cars. He also designed and built all of the machinery for his business, Circular Screens, Inc, which he owned and operated. He was employed by MM Industries, and will be greatly missed by his coworkers. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle, and he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Maca and Dr. Damian Tyler of Westlake, Ohio, his nieces, Ana Tyler, Aleksandra Tyler and Natalija Tyler and his cousins, Jasminka, Ljubica, Dušanka, Andrea, Mičo and Eva. He also leaves behind many friends and kumovi. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, OH 44646 on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. with a Pomen Service at 3:30 p.m. The funeral will take place at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Aleksa Pavichevich officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Tony’s name be made to the Marinkovich family parish, St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 4667 Applegrove St NW, North Canton, OH 44720.
