Tommy “Rabbit” W. Paul, 82, of Perry Township, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. Tommy was born on October 30, 1938 in Massillon, the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Mauz) Paul. He was a lifelong resident of Massillon and graduated from Washington High School. Rabbit attended Malone University on a basketball scholarship but was drafted during the Vietnam War. He was a United States Army veteran. Rabbit worked for the J.F. Good Company and retired after 30 years of service. He played amateur softball for many years and went to many tournaments around the area. Rabbit is in the Amateur Softball Hall of Fame in Canton. Rabbit was a huge New York Yankees fan, and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. He also loved to jog. He was a member of the American Legion Post #221 and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Cherlyn “Deni” Paul, whom he shared 58 years of marriage; children, Debbie (Dan) Gallagher, Vicki Valentine, and Blake (Lisa) Paul; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Dave (Marsha) Paul; and sister, Patsy Bratton.
